just a few days ago i had to send my horse, Lady back to her original owners.
(now I'm down to two...Fanny and Sasha)

we did this because she got her legs frozen in the mud one night and the next day she couldn't move as well. she was wheezing and breathing heavily. we just did not have the time or the money to take care of her...

so we sent her back.

a few days later, (this Thurs.) they called us to tell us that she was doing well and was eating normally and was going to the bathroom alright. things were going great!!!

so...today i went to 'Angels On Horseback'(a place i volunteer) as normal. my mom and two sisters picked me up around 2:00 rite? well, we went shopping and all that stuff, had some laughs...fooled around...but things just seemed too happy to me...well i was right....

when i got home and put my coat away my mom came up to me. she told me "...marg, i have bad news..."

i was a little confused and asked her "what???"

her eyes were full of tears as she told me four words that sliced through me with each syllable...




"...Lady...died...last night"





i couldn't except the pain and repeated, "...what???....WHAT!!!" but the tears continued down my face as my older sister held me close. i soaked her shirt with tears.






my horse died yesterday.....December 18, 2009.....Rest In Peace...my beautiful Lady....
